About the Exhibition
“Through art I aim to highlight the complex and fragile relationship between humans and the natural world. By means of drawing, painting, sculpting, and installation, I explore the impact of human actions on the environment and raise awareness about pressing issues. As a nature lover, I am deeply concerned about the destruction and exploitation of the earth’s resources. I often incorporate elements of the natural world, such as dried plants, bones, and other organic materials reflecting my fascination with the interconnectedness of all living beings and manmade material. This is a reminder of the delicate balance and interdependence of all ecosystems; we are part of nature and not above it or outside of it.
I am drawn to using found and reclaimed materials in my work, not only for their aesthetic value but also to bring attention to the excess and waste that pervades our society. Most of my materials are found at nearby lakes, streets and my own by-products. By repurposing these materials and displaying a new perspective, I hope to spark conversations about consumerism and its detrimental effects on the environment.”
