Join us in the DCP community gallery to view the work chosen for the Hold Up Half the Sky juried competition and exhibition.
As part of DCP’s year dedicated to Women in Photography, our summer open call was designed to celebrate and shine a light on work being created today by women from diverse backgrounds and geographies. Today, women are commanding significant recognition for their profound storytelling and ways of seeing and understanding the world. These stories are important, and their photographs reflect an expanded and exciting time in photography. For Hold Up Half the Sky, our highly esteemed juror Aline Smithson sought work by ALL WOMEN regardless of age, experience, education, race, sexual orientation, or location with the goal of creating an exhibition that reflected a broad array of approaches to creating photographs.
The in-person reception will be hosted on Saturday, June 10 from 6-8 pm. This event is free and open to all! RSVPs strongly encouraged.
