 Alive! Friday, Feb. 3, 5-9p Saturday, Feb. 4, 5-9p In her current body of work, Lisa Temple delivers bold and brilliant colors, texture, andmovement to her contemporary paintings. Her pieces are alive and inviting, providing a vitality that leads the viewer into deeper contemplation. As part of her performance art, Lisa and fine art photographer Nino Gordeladze will collaborate to create a moving, ever-changing piece of art featuring a live ballet dancer.  Snippets: a traveling artist’s shorthand of awe Friday, Feb. 10, 6-9p Saturday, Feb. 11th, 5-9p Lynne Hubner creates a variety of images celebrating the places she has visited during her career. She uses the expressive qualities of printmaking, collage and paint to demonstrate her love of natural spaces.  Fractured, But Whole Friday, Feb. 17, 5-9 pm Saturday, Feb. 18, 5-9 pmCobin Stoffregen returns to The Cove with fresh art. Imagery that was once trapped in his imagination escapes onto paper. The clutter of his mind evolves into imagery that is fractured, but whole. Of his process, Cobin writes, “Only knowing from the start that there is none until the artwork is done, revealing another lost vision, reformed and whole.”  Zoomorphic & Humanistic Inspirations Friday, Feb. 24, 5-9 pm, Wine & Cheese Reception Saturday, Feb. 25, 5-9 pm, Wine, Cheese & More Reception Sunday, Feb. 26, 1-3 pm, Mimosa Reception and Raffle Drawing North Dallas-based artist Jose Angel Hernandez understands the human-animal bond. He has assembled an art exhibit and sale of human and animal portraits with philosophical messages and 3D elements. Jose’s mission as an artist is to create meaningful, interactive, playful art that evokes conversation. Heard-Craig Center for the Arts, February 4th, 10am – 5pm 205 W. Hunt St., McKinney 2nd Annual Art Meets Poetry ’23 is a collaborative effort of several entities, including The Mockingbird Poetry Society in McKinney, the Art Club of McKinney, the Art House, the Heard Craig Center of the Arts, and the McKinney Art Community. This is exhibition of arts by the artists paired with Ekphratic poems written by the poets (describe and respond to art.) It is also exhibition of poems written by poets paired with the interpretive visual/digital paintings in canvas, drawing in watercolors, sculpture or other mixed media. |
