The Texas & Neighbors Exhibition is an annual collaboration between the Irving Art Association and the Irving Arts Center. In 2022 we are celebrating its 37th year. Artists from Texas and neighboring states (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma) are invited to compete. The Juror for 2022 will be Billy Hassell, Texas artist.
Entries for the 2022 competition will close on March 6, 2022. Entry and payment will be through CaFE (callforentry.org).
$9,000 in awards! Artists may also earn signature status by exhibiting in five shows.
Up to three works of art may be entered by an artist for an entry fee of $55 ($45 for IAA members). The deadline for entry is March 1, 2022.
This year we have an additional awards category Printmaking, for a total of eight media categories: Oil Painting, Acrylics, Water Media, Mixed Media / Other Media (2D), Drawing (Dry Media), Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture / 3D, We have also expanded the scope of the Mixed Media and Sculpture categories.

The exhibit will be both physical and online. A virtual tour of the exhibit will be available after the exhibit is open for two weeks and will be kept up indefinitely on the Irving Arts Center virtual website at https://iaconlineart.com. (Take a look at last year’s exhibit!)

Billy Hassell is a Texas-based artist with a focus on nature, conservation, and the environment. He produces oil paintings, color lithographs, and watercolors, and exhibits in galleries in Texas, Missouri, and Colorado. www.billyhassell.com
