CHALK ART EXHIBIT
Location: The Chalk Art Exhibit will take place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Artists will be set up on the sidewalks in front of the Alamo Drafthouse, Half Price Books, and Archie’s Guitars in the Richardson Heights Shopping Center at
the SW corner of Beltline Rd. and 75 in Richardson.
Set-up time: You may check in and set up any time after 8 a.m. Your art must be completed by 3 p.m. for judging.
Supplies: We will have some chalk available, but it’s up to you to bring any additional chalk or supplies that you might need.
Lunch: Lunch and bottled water will be provided free of charge for each participating artist. Details provided the day of the event.
Stipend: Each artist will receive $25 for participating. Groups with more than 4 receive $100 to share among them.
Theme: The theme this year will be centered around the art and characters of “The Addams Family!” The latest release will be showing at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema over the weekend so enjoyers of Ricochet can see it before or after viewing the great sidewalk chalk art.
Space and Surface: Each artist will be working on a concrete sidewalk and will have up to an 8’x8’ space
Awards Competition: Awards will be announced at 4 p.m. There will be one $50 award given in each the following categories:
Best Use of Color, Most “Addams-esque” and Totally Awesome.

Ricochet16 Overview
Ricochet is a citywide event focusing on creativity and the arts in Richardson. Presented by Arts Incubator of Richardson (AIR), Ricochet provides opportunities for artists and creatives to showcase their talents while creating greater awareness of the vibrant arts and creative community in Richardson. This year, Ricochet is designed to dovetail with the city’s Long-Range Plan for Cultural Arts, while showcasing the artists and creatives in the city and state, all while celebrating October as National Arts & Humanities Month.
Saturday, October 19 – All day Ricochet art events, Noon – 5 p.m.
Events include live music and dancing performances, bands, poetry readings, chalk art exhibit, and more! Creativity on Tap – art/
creative exhibit based on “beer” in partnership with Four Bullets Brewery.
RICOCHET EVENTS
Evening concerts at Six Springs Tavern starting at 6 pm. Two Tons of Steel highlights the evening taking the stage at 10 pm, while Terri Hendrix with Lloyd Maines perform from 8 – 10pm.
LOCATIONS
Multiple venues across the city will host free performances and engaging activities. Sites include the Richardson Public Library, Richardson Heights Shopping Center, Four Bullets Brewery, and music venue – Six Springs Tavern.
PARTICIPANTS
Artists include singers, dancers, actors, painters, poetry readers, local bands, musicians, chalk artists and more.
