The monthly meeting will begin at 6:30 pm this Monday, June 3rd at the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce.
Program: May Program: Sharon Giles — Gelli Prints Workshop
Put the fun back into your art! Learn how to do acrylic printmaking by using a Gelli Plate. No press needed! If you’re perfectionistic or have a fear of making a wrong mark or ruining a piece of art paper, learning gelli printing will definitely remove it. You will make lots of art, and it will be messy, but fun.Supplies needed: The instructor will bring acrylic paint, several kinds of paper, water containers, spray bottles, paper towels and other tools such as stencils, masks, stamps, and mark-making tools, such as a brush, scraper, etc. The instructor will bring enough gelli plates and brayers for a small group and artists can share. If you have a gelli plate and brayer, please bring those. Bring an apron or wear grunge clothes. For information on Gelli Plates, see http://www.gelliarts.com/ or http:/gelpress.com.
