Welcome to the 64th anniversary of the Irving Art Association members annual competition. We’re accepting a wide range of 2D media – up to three entries per artist. Our juror this year will be Fort Worth artist and instructor Ann Eckstrom. Curators are Sharon Giles and Sarah Murphy. New members are welcome to join and enter the competition.
Exhibit Location: both the East and West Galleries at the Jaycee Park Center for the Arts, 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving TX 75061
We will accept entries both online (no images required) and also on May 25, Intake Day. All entries meeting requirements will be accepted into the show as long as there is space. Because you save us volunteer labor, entering online up to three pieces will be $30 – a $5 discount. Deadline for early online registration is May 23 and images are optional also – if included they may be used in publicity.
As in prior years, we will have a Challenge Award for a special theme. This year it’s Monochrome, and participation is optional.
Intake day is Saturday, May 26, 10am – 2pm. The registration fee for artwork submitted on intake day is $35 (for those not registered online). Those members who have registered previously online will deliver their work too. (To deliver earlier in the week, contact [email protected]. Be sure to bring a copy of your online entry registration with you.)
